39 miles this week

First ride out since the Cheshire Cat on Saturday. Pretty windy, but good to be cycling again. GPS went a bit wrong and gave me an average speed of 20mph over the 30 miles - more like 16-17 I should think.

Watched the Amstell Gold Race on Sunday - won by Ivanov from Russia (believe it or not). 160miles at an average speed of 24mph! The countryside looked pretty similar to Rutland, quite rolling, with a few steeper climbs.

    When is the London to Paris ride?
    Keep up the training, the Cheshire Cat looked a bit of a grueller :)

    Hi,

    The ride is in July - we arrive in Paris the day before the Tour de France. The Cheshire Cat was pretty gruelling, particularly the last 40 miles - I've only just felt like cycling again in the last couple of week!
